Small Groups provide a setting for building dynamic relationships and applying biblical principles to everyday life. Their atmosphere may encompass worship, prayer, teaching, Christ-centered fellowship, or a combination of them in smaller groups as our church grows larger. Are Small Groups biblical?
The book of Acts records the tremendous growth of the 1st church in Jerusalem. Small Group meetings in homes were the foundation of the early church. Acts 5:42 tells us that the people met "in the temple courts" (large group worship) and from "house to house" (small group settings). small groups were vital to the growth of the church then, and they are just as vital now. You'll never fully experience all that HCF has to offer until you commit to a small group. What are the groups about?
Our small groups can be as varied as we are! Small group leaders use their gifts, passions, and abilities to create a group that allows others to join with them in serving God. Whatever your age or interests - we've got a group that's just right for you. And they meet all over the Tri-state area. When can I join a group?
New small groups start twice a year - January and July - with an event we call "Rally Day." This is the day we showcase all our groups at our weekend services. But you don't have to wait until then to join a group. Most groups are open to new members year 'round. Look through our Small Group catalog available at our InfoDesk and on-line.
